The Vox spokesperson in the Parliament, Joan Garriga, has demanded that the Generalitat de Catalunya halt the implementation of the Programa Llengua Àrab i Cultura Marroquina (LACM) in schools and has urged municipalities, Parents’ Associations (AMPAs), and families to «stand up and say enough.»
This was said on Sunday at noon in statements to the media in front of the Baldiri Reixac school in Sant Feliu de Guíxols (Girona), where he criticized the Arabic classes that take place in this and other educational centers because they are «spaces where children are indoctrinated.»
According to Garriga, this program is funded by the Government of Morocco, designed by teachers chosen by the Government of Morocco, and «controlled by the Hassan II Foundation.»
For him, it is «a real danger to pave the way for the advance of Islamism» and see how, in his opinion, mosques and Moroccan culture are increasing in Catalonia.
«And if someone wants to learn about Moroccan culture and the Arabic language in classes, they should go to Morocco,» he added.
