El Parlament aprueba la ley sobre el derecho a una atención adecuada y una buena administración

The Parlament has approved this Wednesday the bill on the right to adequate care and good administration, which will recognize, among other measures, the right of individuals to rectify before the administration to avoid sanctions for errors made in good faith.

It has been approved with the favorable vote of PSC-Units, Junts, ERC, Vox, Comuns, and CUP, and the abstention of PP and Aliança Catalana.

Of the 21 amendments presented by the Junts group to the text, four have been approved, three of them by transaction, in addition to a technical amendment presented by the PSC that has been approved, while the three amendments presented by the PP have been rejected.

The norm contemplates the right of citizens not to be harmed by errors of the administration related to benefits covering essential needs.

Furthermore, it amends provisions of the law and expressly prohibits mandatory appointments and incorporates the obligation of administrative language clarity.

It also establishes that public employees will only be responsible for actions or omissions made with gross negligence or fault.
