The American actor will perform on June 21 at the grand stage of the Liceu de Barcelona with the German cellist in the show «New Worlds», which combines literature and music, as announced on Monday by the promoter Clipper’s in a statement.
«New Worlds», which intertwines European classical music and North American literature, also features the violinist Mira Wang and pianist Vanessa Pérez, marking the first time that the Veranos del Taoro Festival has brought a show to the capital of Catalonia.
The assembly arose from a chance meeting between Murray and Vogler during a transatlantic flight, leading to the creation of the show that combines texts from authors like Mark Twain or Ernest Hemingway with pieces by Bach, Schubert, or Bernstein, in which the actor performs both songs and literary texts.
