CID (Comuns) adverteix al govern de ser cautel·lós amb una geometria variable

The spokesperson for Comú in Parliament, David Cid, warned this Saturday to «be careful» with the variable geometry in Parliament to approve the measures, after the green light this week to repeal fines to municipalities due to excess water consumption, which received support from PSC, Junts, PP, and Aliança Catalana (AC).

In an interview on Ràdio 4 collected by Europa Press, CID lamented that, in his words, it cannot be that the government seeks the commons to approve economic measures and key elements to implement its government plan and then go to Junts «for marginal issues like ending sanctions on municipalities that exceeded the limits in the context of the drought.»

Likewise, CID specifically questioned the coherence of the socialists on housing: «The main brake we have today in Barcelona to prevent cases like Orsolas is at 30%.»

In this sense, the spokesperson defended the measure of reserving 30% for social housing in rehabilitations and new construction and warned that if the mayor, Jaume Collboni, «messes it up» with ERC or Junts, cases like Casa Orsola may occur.

«Coherence is necessary here and it is necessary for the PSC to choose: either with those who believe that housing is for doing business or with those who consider that housing, as stated in the Constitution and the statute, is correct,» he added.
