The prestigious chef, Rafa Zafra, lands at Tibidabo Amusement Park with a gastronomic proposal that expands the experience of the «Peak of Emotions» beyond the attractions. Located in the historic building of La Masia in Plaça del Tibidabo, the new restaurant will open its doors to the public in the spring of 2026 to offer a unique and singular gastronomic proposal in a magical environment like the top of Tibidabo. The location adjacent to the park, the panoramic views of the city, and the updated culinary offer will make this renovated restaurant an ideal space designed for all audiences.

The new restaurant, led by one of the most prominent gastronomic figures in the country, will be located on the ground floor of the building, will have a capacity for 300 people, and will have three distinct spaces: the indoor dining rooms for a maximum of 170 diners, the terrace with a capacity of 130 people, and the viewing room to enjoy unparalleled views of the city.

The incorporation of a gastronomic proposal of quality, accessibility, and designed for everyone represents a clear commitment to expanding the overall experience of the park beyond the attractions. With this new space, Tibidabo Amusement Park, managed by the municipal company BSM, is strengthened as a complete leisure destination, inviting visitors to live a day full of emotions, good meals, and shared moments. The project is born with the aim of continuing to connect with the citizens through new ways of enjoying and rediscovering the top of Tibidabo.

 

The best culinary offer in an amusement park

The reopening of La Masia will entail the incorporation of a unique gastronomic proposal to the park. Rafa Zafra envisions a restaurant for all audiences and, above all, an establishment to enjoy good cuisine both for adults and children.

«Tibidabo Amusement Park is a place full of memories, smiles, and shared emotions. Having the opportunity to open a restaurant in this environment is an exciting challenge. We want to offer an attractive, honest, and fun gastronomic proposal that makes adults feel like children and allows children to start loving good food. In other words, we want people to eat with the enthusiasm of a child but with the knowledge of an adult. By opting for local and seasonal products, we will steer clear of conventional children’s menus to introduce the little ones to flavors and textures that help them discover the pleasure of eating well. At the same time, we will make it a space open to everyone, where any type of customer feels comfortable,» explains Rafa Zafra.

In such an iconic and emotional environment as the top of Tibidabo, the restaurant aims to become a gastronomic reference within the city’s family leisure offer and to offer a comprehensive experience where cuisine, environment, and emotion go hand in hand.

 

A unique and singular restaurant that evokes the imagery of the park

To bring this new proposal to life, it was necessary to adapt the lower floors of the La Masia building. The architectural project was designed by Varis Arquitectes, the Barcelona-based firm led by Dani Freixes, winner of the FAD Prize 2009 for the attraction Miramiralls and also responsible for the restoration of the Avió, two of the park’s icons.

With a long trajectory also in the design of hospitality spaces, Varis Arquitectes has conceived a versatile, comfortable, and unique restaurant. A space capable of adapting light, color, and ambiance according to the needs of use, and designed to offer a welcoming experience thanks to meticulous acoustic and climatic treatment. The new restaurant also highlights the privileged environment of the top of Tibidabo, generating unique interior landscapes and scenarios. The new layout, interior design, and decorative elements have been inspired by the imagery of the park, with resources such as light games and projections that will transform the space according to the schedule, the park’s programming, or the celebration of corporate events.
In addition to the renovation of the indoor dining rooms, work has also been done to remodel the kitchen spaces and their corresponding services, for the construction of a new core of hygiene services and all the necessary facilities to provide comfort to users. At the same time, actions have been taken on the two lower floors to allow the entry of the restaurant’s supplies.
