Capella conditions her support on two other decrees to be processed as a bill
The spokesperson for ERC in Parliament, Ester Capella, has stated that they will not vote in favor of the government decree to ensure the safety of campsites located in flood-risk areas and has accused the government of not taking into account dialogue with the territory and the sector.
In a press conference this Tuesday, Capella has indicated that they agree to promote prevention and protection measures in relation to certain locations located in flood-prone areas, but has insisted that there are other aspects that need to be agreed upon with the territory and the affected economic sectors.
In addition, she has conditioned the support of the Republicans on the decrees of urgent measures in housing and urban planning and urgent measures on public procurement, if the government opens up to process them as a bill.
«The instrument that has been used is an instrument that allows us to regulate certain aspects and it does not have to say that if you agree with a series of aspects, you have to agree with the whole,» said the Republican spokesperson.
She recalled that the Council of Statutory Guarantees (CGE) gave ERC an opinion on the housing decree and urban planning measures for not complying, according to this body, with the extraordinary and urgent need.
In the negotiation of the government’s second credit supplement to extend the budgets, Capella has requested «patience» and has ensured that they will wait for the opinion of the CGE on the tourist tax to be pronounced in the supplement.
