Foment del Treball has expressed its condolences for the death of businessman Julio Sorigué, founder of the construction group Sorigué, whom they have praised as a «pioneer in the construction world and a pillar of the business world in Lleida, Catalonia, and Spain.»
In a message on ‘X’ collected by Europa Press, the Catalan business association has also highlighted his «entrepreneurial spirit, global business vision, and social sensitivity,» as he was also the founder of the Sorigué Foundation, dedicated to promoting social and cultural projects.
Sorigué, whose farewell will take place this Thursday, August 14 at 11 am in the New Cathedral of Lleida, founded his company in 1968, which took a significant leap between 2005 and 2006 after acquiring 100% of Acsa, previously owned by Agbar.
