GSMA’s Director General, Mats Granryd, has opted for «completion work» in expanding 5G technology to stimulate global sector growth.
He said this Sunday in his speech during the official dinner at the National Art Museum of Catalonia for the Mobile World Congress (MWC), taking place between Monday and Thursday at Gran de Fira in Barcelona, at the L’Rpespenet de Llobat.
King Felipe VI attended the dinner; The General President, Salvador Ilala; Minister Óscar López and the Mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Colloni, while the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, was absent as he was at the European leaders summit in London.
Granryd, who will be stepping down from his position at GSMA, added that the technology sector «needs» to stimulate revenue and reach the end of investments in «Capex», as well as to work on «Open Gateway» technologies.
Additionally, he called for an increase in the available electromagnetic spectrum for businesses and stated that planning is «vital».
