From October 28 to November 24, the registration period for the ordinary opposition competition for teaching staff called by Resolution EDF/3865/2025 will be open. The process includes 1,100 positions for secondary school teachers, specialists in specific sectors of vocational training, teachers of plastic arts and design, and workshop teachers of plastic arts and design.
The selection process will begin in March 2026 and is part of the public job offers of the Generalitat for the years 2024 and 2025. Details about the development of the tests and specific requirements can be found on the website of the Department of Education and Vocational Training.
Recognition of leisure titles as a merit
As a novelty, the opposition competition recognizes for the first time the titles of monitor and director of education in children’s and youth leisure as merits. Participants with these qualifications can add 0.10 points for the monitor title (310 hours of training) and 0.15 points for the director title (410 hours). Only certificates issued by schools recognized by the Directorate General of Youth will be accepted.
This measure recognizes the educational value of leisure and reinforces the connection between formal and non-formal education, highlighting competencies such as teamwork, group management, and emotional education. It is also part of the Strategy for the recognition of educational leisure in Catalonia, which aims to support the sector and consolidate it as a key space for the growth and learning of children and young people.
