Paneque claims that Illa is willing to meet in the institutional sphere and «without prejudices»
Minister and government spokesperson Silvia Paneque has rejected a televised debate between the President of the Generalitat, Salvador Illa, and the President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, on financing: «It is a complex debate. During the press conference after the Council’s Executive meeting this Tuesday, Paneque stated that a debate between the two presidents should be «far from sets or areas that are not adequately institutional,» after Ayuso insisted on Monday for Illa to discuss television about Catalonia’s unique financing.

The Generalitat spokesperson also defended that this debate is conducted with «seriousness, serenity, and rigor» both with the Community of Madrid and with the rest of the communities.
