The health spokesperson of the PP in the Parliament of Catalonia, Hugo Manchón, along with the deputy for Girona Jaume Veray, have presented a series of parliamentary questions and a resolution proposal to demand urgent action from the Government in response to the «collapse of emergency services in hospitals.»
The party made this decision following complaints from the Satse union about the situation in hospitals such as those in Calella (Barcelona), Blanes, and Palamós (Girona), as reported in a statement this Saturday.
Manchón has pointed out that the Government «cannot continue to look the other way» while, in his words, thousands of patients wait for hours and professionals work at their limit.
The spokesperson has called for «realistic planning and more investment in human and structural resources,» which is why the PP demands reinforcing staff, improving hiring forecasts, and accelerating investments in hospital infrastructure.
«I wish the PSC would put the same effort into managing healthcare as they do in giving in to the political whims of their independentist partners,» Manchón stated, also noting that his party has been warning about the situation for months.
