From Spotify Camp Nou to the Arc de Triomf. Between these two points, a city in celebration, almost four hours of overflowing joy, and a human mosaic formed by thousands of fans and supporters who filled the streets of Barcelona to pay tribute to Barça. The team secured their first national treble in history, with the Super Cup, Copa del Rey, and La Liga titles, and the city did not want to miss out on these celebrations.
The euphoria began on Thursday after the victory against Espanyol, which mathematically sealed the league title for the 28-time champions. But the collective party took place on Friday, turning Barcelona into a sea of Blaugrana colors.
From Gate 13 at Spotify Camp Nou, the festive procession began with a slight delay compared to the scheduled time (6:00 PM). The buses slowly made their way through the streets of Travessera de Les Corts and Numancia, Berlin and Paris, before descending from Balmes to Pelai. Plaça Catalunya and Plaça d’Urquinaona were the epicenters of excitement. From there, the parade crossed Trafalgar Street and Passeig de Sant Joan until 9:30 PM, reaching the final destination, the Arc de Triomf, where the champions were welcomed with fireworks and grand animations.
There was a massive presence along the entire route. Young and old, many sporting Barça shirts, greeted the idols to the rhythm of various Barça anthems. From «The Match Day» to the Barça anthem, passing through «Porto the crest on the chest» that accompanied the team this season in honor of the club’s 125th anniversary.
Smiles, emotions, and songs were the thread of the post-celebration. Those who waited for hours and those who traveled by buses shared the same feeling: the pride of belonging. The players and coaching staff, in an explosion of collective joy, experienced a moment they will almost never forget. Because there are days like these that give meaning to all the effort.
The First River of the Cat Mascot
But besides the players of FC Barcelona’s first team, there was a figure that shone with its own light: Cat. The Blaugrana Club’s mascot, in fact, led the parade on a bus that captured everyone’s attention. With its grace and usual rhythm, it drew the gaze of all of Barcelona, who enjoyed its charisma.
A second bus, sponsored by Estrella Damm, was responsible for providing live music with a DJ who kept the holiday spirit alive. And a third bus, decorated with the motto «Champions. Our style, our heritage,» transported the players and staff of Hansi Flick, cherished by thousands of voices.
Barcelona, Blaugrana
Barcelona was completely painted with the colors of the club. Balconies adorned, flags in every corner, and confetti covering the sidewalk like a carpet of Culé pride. The urban landscape transformed into a stage for uncomplicated celebrations, where art, architecture, and sporting passion merged into a single postcard.
On Friday, the monuments took a back seat. The true spotlight was on a team that managed to connect with its people and reignite the passion of a fanbase that regained its smile. And didn’t lose it for a single moment during the aftermath.
