Pimec has celebrated the «global ambition» of the new European Union budget between 2028 and 2034, although it has requested greater sensitivity to SMEs, in a statement on Thursday.
The budget amounts to around 2,000 million euros at current prices, above the 1,200 million of the 2021-2027 period.
The entrepreneur led by Antoni Cañete has lamented that in recent years specific instruments have disappeared for SMEs such as Cosme or the SME Instrumental Program and that Investit SMEs have exhausted their resources.
Therefore, it has stated that specific programs for SMEs are being recovered and expanded during the legislative process and the deployment of the new multi-annual financial framework.
On the other hand, it has criticized the «lack of more innovative proposals» such as a Schengen visa fee or new tax figures on large technology and e-commerce companies.
