Protecció Civil de la Generalitat has upgraded the Inuncat, activated since Tuesday morning, to alert phase for the intense rains expected in Catalunya this Wednesday and Thursday in various parts of the territory, which may be accompanied by storms, hail, and strong gusts of wind.
In a statement, they warn that starting from Wednesday at 2 p.m., showers are expected to exceed 20 liters per cubic meter in 30 minutes in the northwest, especially in the Pyrenees and Pre-Pyrenees of Lleida and the regions of Ponent.
Likewise, they alert that on Thursday from early hours until 8 p.m., precipitation can also exceed 20 l/m3 in 30 minutes, this time in the northeast of Catalunya, especially in Baix Llobregat, Vallès Occidental, Vallès Oriental, and La Selva.
