The French center became a Barça player in 2018. Since then, he has accumulated 160 official matches in four seasons, scoring seven goals and providing three assists. Between 2018 and 2022, he was involved in winning a league title (2018/19), a Copa Del Rey (2020/21), and a Spanish Super Cup (2018/19).
A final mission at Atlético de Madrid
After participating in the 2024/25 preseason under the command of Hansi Flick, he moved to Atlético de Madrid, where he was a key player under Cholo Simeone. He set records of 34 matches and three goals during his time at Rojiblanco.
This mission with the Madrid team was the third for the French player while he was at Barcelona. Prior to his stint at Atlético de Madrid, he had spent two seasons in the Premier League. In the 2022/23 season, he defended the colors of Tottenham, playing 35 matches, 26 of them in the league. And in 2023/24, he played for Aston Villa, securing a historic qualification for the Champions League, participating in 25 matches across the Premier League, the Conference League, and the FA Cup.
