Una peça de la història de Barcelona

Jaume Collboni, the Mayor of Barcelona, opened the gallery on Wednesday that houses the official photographs of the mayors on the democratic stage of Narcís Serra, Pasqual Maragall, Joan Clos, Jordi aquí, Xavier Trias, and Ada Colau: «It represents a piece of Barcelona’s history.»

He made these remarks at the event prior to the presentation of the city’s gold medals to the four former mayors, alongside the honors and daughters of Pasqual Maragall.

«As a city and as an institution, we owe it to ourselves to have this representation that preserves memory and honors democratic continuity at a time when institutions are under attack,» he added before signing the city’s book of honor.
