The president of Junts, Carles Puigdemont, has stated that his party still does not trust the government led by President Pedro Sánchez: «We are not willing to help a government that does not help Catalonia.»
He said this in a press conference from Perpignan (France) after meeting with the party’s executive committee on Monday morning, which has unanimously decided to break ties with the PSOE and put the decision to a vote by the membership this Wednesday and Thursday.
«We have noted that there is not enough trust, and in fact, the mutual distrust is the same. Perhaps there is personal trust, but not at a political level,» and he specifically pointed out that Junts’ project is not aimed at the stability of Spain.
