The spokesperson for Junts in the Barcelona City Council, Neus Munté, has accused the mayor of the city, Jaume Collboni, of not complying with a «unanimous» agreement that obligated him to expand the «alè més» program to individuals under 65 years of age and their families after its presentation this Sunday.
In a statement on Monday, Munté warned that Collboni’s administration «is not trustworthy and that his word has no value,» demanding explicitly that he rectify if he wants to maintain a minimum of credibility.
She recalled that in the Social Rights Commission of March 2024, it was unanimously agreed to expand the program, but the new call does not include this option.
«Collboni has confirmed another breach that directly affects the most vulnerable families in the city, who are individuals with disabilities under 65 years of age,» she reiterated.
